CBSE Class 9 Answered
A bus travels first 20 km in 1h, next 20 km in half an hour and next 20 km in
1h. Calculate the average speed of the bus
Asked by Nimmi | 27 Apr, 2020, 12:42: PM
Average speed = total distance travelled/ total time taken
Total distance travelled = 20 + 20 + 20 = 60 km
Total time taken = 1 +0.5 + = 2.5 h
Thus,
![A v e r a g e space s p e e d space o f space b u s space equals space fraction numerator 60 over denominator 2.5 end fraction space equals space 24 space k m divided by h](https://images.topperlearning.com/topper/tinymce/cache/13de9464fc1b2c0509f0442ceb21ac98.png)
