Spring force F = -k × x , where k is spring constant and x is eleongation of spring.
 
when a mass m is connected to a spring that gives 20 cm stretching, then we have 
 
m×g = k×20×10-2 (only magnitude);
 
hence k/m = 9.8/(20×10-2) = 49 s-2 
 
frequency f of oscillation is given by
