The given equation is incorrect. 
 
The correct equation in terms of density of substance is, 
 
1 g/cm3 = 1 × 1000 = 1000 kg/m 
 
Thus, to convert density of substance from g/cm3 to kg/m3 , multiply the value by 1000. 
 
For example, 
30 g/cm3 = 30 × 1000 = 30,000 kg/m3
