Making an Earth model from a football or any circular object is common. Let’s make an Earth model with paper plates. Take a look at simple steps to make an Earth model from paper plates.
Things Required: Two paper plates, paints - blue, green and white, paint brush, glue, thread, scissor and pencil. Image source: meaningfulmama.com
Cut the edge of each of paper plate to give them a perfect semi-circular shape such that when they are joined, they form a sphere-like model.
Now paint the exteriors of the circular plates with blue colour. Draw the continents and islands. Use a pencil to draw the map, and then, paint it carefully. Now, leave the plates to dry.
Apply glue on the edge of one of the plates and glue the other plate on top of the first one. Make sure the alignment of the continents is proper. And your Earth model is ready!
