What is actually the archimedes principle? explain as far as you can with an example?

archimedes principle states that the bouyant force on a body immersed partially or fully in a fluid is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by it.
Eg. A ship floating in water will displace as much fluid enough to support its weight.
Thats why ships are made wide from bottom.
