n-type semiconductors are neutral inspite of having excess of electrons,why?

the net charge of a semiconductor is always neutral.
in a n-type semiconductor, the excess electrons are due to the presence of a pentavalent impurity which has an excess electron but it does not mean that the extra electron is unaccounted for with respect to the net positive charge.
