Q1) a point charge is placed at the centre of a gaussian surface.how is the electric flux through the surface affected when
(a) the sphere is replaced by a cylinder of different volume.

1(a) Electric flux remains unaffected due to the change in gaussian surface because electric flux is equal to 1/?o times charge enclosed in the guassian surface.
(b) Electric flux will become zero because there shall be no charge enclosed by the guassian surface.
(c) Electric flux = 1/?o ( first charge + second charge)
(d) Electric flux will remain unaffected.
