a satellites revolves round a planet in a circular orbit of radius R . if the gravitational force on the satellite by the planet is F newton . what is the work done by planet on the satellite when the satellite covers half of orbit ?

F = GM/R2
Distance covered in half orbit = 2(pi)R/2 = (pi)R
Work = Force * Distance
W = GM/R2 * (pi)R
W = GM(pi)/R
