1.show that (a-b) whole square, (a square + b square) and (a+b) whole square are in AP.

The termsA= (a-b)2,B=(a2+b2) andC= (a+b)2will form terms of A.P if
B-A=C-B
LHS=B-A=(a2+b2)-(a-b)2=2ab
RHS=C-B=(a+b)2-(a2+b2)=2ab
Thus,LHS=RHS=>B-A=C-B
Thus,A,B,C are in A.P
