Chapter 7 - Chandni Exercise 45
Abbu Khan's goats wanted to run away because goats in hilly regions hated being tied to trees or poles. They love their freedom. Whenever they got the chance, they would run away but get killed by an old wolf who lived in the hills.
When all the goats left Abbu Khan, he decided not to keep any more goats in his house ever again. Even if he lived for a few more years he would live without goats. However without the goats the poor old man was terribly lonely and couldn’t do without his pets. So he changed his mind and bought a young goat.
He bought a young goat because he was terribly lonely and simply couldn't do without his pets. He felt that a young goat would stay with him much longer and would soon begin to love him as well as the food he gave her every day and would never want to go to the hills.
Chapter 7 - Chandni Exercise 49
Every morning Chandni watched the hill tops bathed in sunlight and thought of how refreshing the breeze that blows through them was and how lovely it would be to run across the green fields. However when she ran towards the hills she was stopped with a jerk by the rope around her neck. This is why Chandni hated the rope round her neck.
Abbu Khan understood Chandni's problem when she explained to him that she wanted to go to the hills and if she stayed in his compound she would die.
Abbu Khan pushed Chandni into a small hut. This shows that he loved her and wanted to save her life.
