When a cylinder is held in sunlight, then a circular shadow or a rectangular shadow can be obtained depending on its orientation related to the Sun.

When the top of the cylinder faces the Sun, then the circular shadow is formed. On the other hand, when the side of the cylinder faces the Sun, then rectangular shadow is formed.


Solution 4

No, we will not be able to see our reflection in the mirror.

Concept insight: Image of an object is formed when light is reflected from the mirror. Since there is no source of light in the room, no image will be formed.
