Eco tourism refers to travelling to places bestowed with nature with the conscious effort of support and conservation of those places. Since Brazil has several natural resources which if not conserved might become threatened or endangered. Hence, eco-tourism is developed more in Brazil.

Most rivers in Brazil flow at a rapid speed. Also, the amount if sediments discharged from these rivers are huge. Many areas of rivers are also inaccessible. Hence, waterways (mainly internal) are not well developed in Brazil.

· Internal (Inland) waterways comprise of rivers, canals, backwaters, creeks, etc. which are the cheap means of transportation.

· Gentle slopes, deep waters, absence of rapids and waterfalls and the long course of rivers are favourable factors for development of internal waterways.

· River Ganga is navigable in its lower course. Peninsular rivers are not navigable as they are seasonal, shallow and shorter course.

· Standard time is adopted by a country and is accepted all over the country.

· If the country has a vast longitudinal extent, then it may have more than one standard time.

· Standard time helps in avoiding confusion regarding date, time and day to be followed.
