The report writing on a field visit should include the following points:

  • Introduction
  • Location
  • Physiographical features and climate
  • Human settlements if any
  • Land use pattern and occupation of people
  • Problems related to the environment and the measures that can be taken to solve the issue

While writing a report, students should draw sketches, maps, drawings, paste photographs and represent statistical data with graphs wherever necessary.

A questionnaire for a field visit to a factory:

  • What is the name and location of the factory?
  • What are the final products manufactured in the factory and what raw materials are used?
  • Where does the raw materials come from and in which markets are the products sold?
  • How many employees work in the factory and what benefits are given to them?
  • What safety measures are taken for the employees and what precautions have been taken to prevent any fire hazards?
  • Are employees given various training required to for their professional development?
  • What measures have been taken to prevent any kind of pollution?

Following things to be done to manage litter during the field visit:

  • carry a big bag made out of cloth or jute to collect the used materials during the field visit.
  • advise everyone in the field visit to throw the garbage only in the dustbins.
  • Avoid taking packaged foods and drinks
  • At the end of the visit, collect wastes and other used materials in the bag made out of cloth or jute
