IIT JEE Syllabus For JEE Main 2020

Just like previous years, the IIT JEE Main syllabus adheres to the NCERT curriculum. To successfully crack IIT JEE, students must have a thorough conceptual understanding of the topics included in the JEE Main syllabus 2020. However, simply getting familiar with the topics is not enough. Students must be aware of the weightage of the topics as applicable for IIT JEE. Because teaming up smart work with dedication is the best way to go about IIT JEE preparation.

In 2018, a lot of changes perplexed students. NTA, the new exam body for IIT JEE, came on board to conduct the IIT JEE Main and Advanced exams twice a year (in January and in April) in the online mode. The JEE Main 2020 exam consists of three assessment papers namely Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3. The National Testing Agency released the JEE Main Syllabus 2020 to give JEE aspirants a clear idea of all the topics to be studied for Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3 of the exam.

Paper 1 of JEE syllabus 2020 includes questions based on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics topics. JEE Main Paper 2 syllabus consists of Mathematics, Drawing and Aptitude-based topics. Planning-based questions, Mathematics and Aptitude test questions are part of Paper 3 of the JEE Main exam. Importance of JEE syllabus and JEE Main exam

From 2019, NTA was given the responsibility to conduct Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main as per the prescribed JEE syllabus. The National Testing Agency (NTA) was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India (GOI) to conduct tests for assessment of candidates seeking admissions in top higher education institutes of India.

If you wish to join the undergraduate engineering programs at NIT’s, IIT’s or reputed government-funded higher education institutions, your Class 12 scores and your JEE (Main) score will be considered for admission assessments. You need to follow the JEE Main syllabus to prepare for JEE Main. Based on your JEE (Main) score, you’ll get an opportunity to appear for JEE (Advanced). For premier institutes such as the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), your JEE Advanced score will be considered during the evaluation of your admission application.

JEE Main syllabus 2020 is important for you in many ways. It will help you with information on the topics to be studied for JEE Main preparation. You can create a comprehensive study plan as per the time available to you prior to the exam. The syllabus also gives clarity on the JEE Main exam pattern. Previous year papers of JEE Main will help you to understand the different types of questions that can be expected in the exam. Awareness of persons, places, buildings, materials. Objects, Texture related to Architecture and build—environment. Visualizing three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings. Visualizing different sides of three-dimensional objects. Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal).

 

Part-II


Three dimensional - perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms, and elements, color texture, harmony and contrast. Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil. Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, generation of a plan, elevations and 3 D views of objects. Creating two dimensional and three-dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms.

Sketching of scenes and activities from memory of urbanscape (public space, market, festivals, street scenes, monuments, recreational spaces, etc.), landscape (river fronts, jungles, trees, plants, etc.) and rural life.
