sodium fire in the laboratory cannot be extinguished by pouring water.why? (actually, i don't know the chapter! so i asking 3 questions in one...) 2.chemical formula of the compounds-cassiterite and kernite ? 3.for making water proof papers,organosilicon polymers are used.write down the formation of this polymer ?

It reacts violently with water to produce hydrogen gas.
 
Cassiterite is a tin oxide mineral, SnO2
Kernite, also known as rasorite is a hydrated sodium borate hydroxide mineral with formula Na2B4O6(OH)2·3(H2O)
