# plz..xplain d concept of sin or theta related 2 refraction of light..

Snell's law states that the ratio of the sines of the angles of incidence and refraction is equivalent to the ratio of phase velocities in the two media, or equivalent to the opposite ratio of the indices of refraction:



with each $\theta$ as the angle measured from the normal, $v$ as the velocity of light in the respective medium (SI units are meters per second, or m/s) and $n$ as the refractive index (which is unitless) of the respective medium.

# If light is a electromagnetic wave and light has very less mass and gravitational force is directly proportional to mass of the body and therefore this neglible mass of the sun's electromagnetic wave (light) allows them to escape the gravity of the sun and travel towards the earth .Then why this theory is not applicable or hold true for dark holes we know due dark holes's strong gravitational force light can't escape but you told gravitational pull is directly proportional to mass and light has neglible mass so it should also escape dark holes? please explain this.
