Events which took place in the Second Carnatic War:

  1. Rulers of Hyderabad and Carnatic died in 1748.
  2. After the death of Muzaffar Jung, the French placed Salabat Jung on the throne.
  3. The French had substantial gains in finance, commerce and politics.
  4. Muzaffar Jung had given Dupleix large jagir and a huge amount of money.
  5. Salabat Jung granted four districts in the Andhra region—Northern Circars—to the French.
  6. In Carnatic, Anwaruddin was killed and his son escaped to Trichinopoly.
  7. So, the British decided to support Muhammad Ali against the French.
