Dairy farming: Dairy farming in Australia is generally carried out in the coastal areas of the southern states of New South Wales, Victoria and southern Queensland. Milk, butter and cheese are some important dairy products which are produced and exported on a large scale in the country.

Sheep farms: In Australia, Merino sheep are generally reared which produce wool of extremely high quality. Sheep are generally reared in the temperate region. Sydney and Melbourne are important centres of wool production. Australia leads in the production of wool in the world.
