Where is the antennae of the present televisions situated?
With the advent of CATV (Community Access Television), large "community antennas" were constructed via which cable companies utilized satellite technology to initially get the signals, and then it was distributed via underground or above ground cable to individual homes.
These days, many homes get the TV signals by DTH technology. Here, a dish antenna is used to receive the signals.
