An ecosystem can be defined as a community of living and non living organisms in the same area, which are inter-dependent on each other. The relationship between living organisms and their interactions with their living and non living surroundings constitutes an ecosystem. There are numerous ecosystems in the world. A pond, desert, rivers etc. are some examples of an ecosystem.
