The neighbourhood is a part of a community which has its own schools, shops, parks, cinema halls, medical clinics and places of worship. People from different families and communities can be seen interacting and living together in a neighbourhood.

A close-knit neighbourhood is considered to be an important social support system. This place teaches us to live with a variety of people, sharing our joys and sorrows with them. It also teaches us important lessons of tolerance, understanding, cooperation and goodwill such as being members of an extended family.
