What happens when overproduction of heat takes place in our body?

When the outside temperature is high or when a person is engaged in strenous physical work, heat produced inside the body increases. Under such conditions, blood supply to the skin is increased by the dilation of blood vessels in the skin (vasodilation). This results in greater loss of heat by radiation and also by evaporation of sweat.
