The Block Samiti consists of the following:

1. Sarpanches of all the Gram Panchayats under the Panchayati Samiti.
2. The Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson are elected by the members from the Block.
3. Members of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
4. Women- One-third of the seats are reserved for women.
5. Members of Parliament and the State Legislative Assembly which represent the block.
6. The Block Development officer who is given the responsibility of carrying out the plans of the Block Samiti.
