What do you mean by a leap year?

Answer:

The Earth takes one year or 365 ¼ days to complete one revolution around the Sun. For convenience, we count only 365 days in a year. The remaining 6 hours are added to one extra day after every four years. This extra day is added to the month of February in that year. Thus, every fourth year, February has 29 days and the year has 366 days, and it is called a leap year.
