Egyptian doctors and surgeons were known for their elaborate skills. They had in-depth knowledge of body and bodily systems which is evidenced from the technique used in mummification or embalming a corpse. Priests usually performed the duties of doctors and were specialised in the treatment of eyes, teeth etc.
