The water level in a tank rises 20% when it filled in the morning and then falls 20% during the day. What is the net rise or fall in the water level in tha tank?

Let,
the water in the tank = 100 litres.
 
In the morning, water increased 20%.
theferore water level is now 120 litres
 
After using it decreases 20% 
Therefore the water in the tank = 120 - 24 =  96 litres
 
Hence, the net  fall in the water level in tha tank is   100 - 96 = 4%
