Q) A straight is a five card hand containing consecutive values. How many different starights are there? How many straights are there if the cards are not all from the same suit?

Answer:
In each suit we have 13 cards. If we make a 5 card sequence as straight, we have 9 straights.
In all the four suits, we have 9×4 = 36 straights, if all straights are made with amae suit.
 
If the cards are not from same suit in a given straight , we have 4×4×4×4×4 = 45 combination.
Hence total number of straights, if the cards are not from same suit is 36×45
