Two literary sources of the Delhi sultanate are:
‘Taj-ul-Maasir’ by Hasan Nizami: Hasan Nizami covers the period from 1192 to 1228. It is considered as a reliable account on the career and reign of Qutub-ud-din Aibak and the early years of Iltutmish.
‘Tabqat-i-Nasiri’ by Minhaj-us-Siraj: His work is considered an important piece of history on the early rulers of the Sultanate of Delhi.
