Is tinned food always safe to eat? Give reasons to support your answer.

No, tinned food is not always safe to eat because it may be spoilt by a bacterium, Clostridium botulinum. If such food is eaten, it can cause food-poisoning or botulism, and may even cause death under extreme conditions.
