If you are provided with two liquids, how will you find out which one is a pure compound and which one is a mixture (solution)?

In order to distinguish between the given two liquids, we should evaporate them separately.
The liquid which leaves behind a residue on evaporation is a mixture (solution) whereas the liquid which evaporates completely, leaving behind no residue is a compound.
