Expert Answer
Since New Zealand is located between the latitudes 34°S and 47°S , it experiences a temperate type of climate. South Island is cooler than North island.
The westerly winds blow in New Zealand bringing rainfall to the country almost throughout the year. However, the west coast receives more rainfall than the east coast.
