How did the Early Vedic people worship gods and practise their faith?

The Early Vedic Aryans did not build any temples or worship idols. The Vedic gods were worshipped by people in the open air by chanting hymns and making offerings of grain, ghee and milk. The yagnas were performed by the brahmanas and entire families took part in yagnas and other ceremonies.
