Following are the three principles on which Hindu philosophy is based:

Dharma: The concept of dharma implies that it is morally incumbent on every individual to do what is right and lead a pious life.

Karma: The concept of karma implies that every individual has to face the consequence of his or her actions and that the present and the future are conditioned by the actions and choices made in the past. This is the concept of karma.

Transmigration of the soul: It means that the soul is immortal and it never dies. When an individual dies, his soul lives on by migrating into another body.
