Electric charges leak rapidly from the pointed edges of a conductor is it true or false

It is true. At pointed edges accumulation of electirc chareges is more due to its very low radius of curvature.
 
If accumulation of charges  is more, electric field is more.  This high electric field give additional force to charges so that
they can escape from conductor surface , hence charges are leaked out easily through sharp points.
