The ancient Egyptian society was divided into three distinct social classes. They were as following:

The Upper Class: This class of Egyptian society consisted of the royal family, the land-owning section of the population, the high-ranking priests, the administrative machinery officials and the doctors.

The Middle Class: The middle strata of Egyptian society had merchants, manufacturers, craftsmen and the lower clergy within its fold.

The Lower Class: It had peasants. At the very bottom of this hierarchical structure were the slaves who were mostly prisoners of war.
