An aeroplane has  goes to point A to another point B 300km away due 30last of north a wind is blowing due north at a speed of 20m/s the air speed of the plane is 150m/s. Find the time taken by the plane to go from A to B

Answer:
When the airplane is flying with speed 150 m/s in the direction 30º east of north
and wind speed is 20 m/s along the north direction,

effective speed of travelling for airplane is (150+20cos30) m/s

Hence time taken to travel 300 km from A to B = (300×1000)/(150+20cos30) ≈ 30 min
