Adaptations in ducks to survive in water:

1. Ducks have webbed feet, i.e., their toes are joined together by a thin flap of skin. These help them to swim easily in water.
2. The feathers on the body of ducks are covered with an oily layer to make them waterproof. So, their body is always dry and warm.
3. They also have light and hollow bones that help them to stay afloat.
4. Ducks have special beaks for feeding. These beaks help them to strain small plants and animals from the water while filtering out muddy water.
