Q1. What  is  meant  by  shall  and  will?

‘Shall’ and ‘Will’ are modal auxiliaries or helping verbs. Helping verbs give additional information about the main verbs in a sentence.

Amit asked Jatin, “Shall I get your jacket?”

In the above sentence, Amit is offering help to Jatin.

I shall keep my promise.

In the above sentence, it is certain that I will stay true to what I have promised to do.

Let’s go for a movie, shall we?

In the above sentence, I am suggesting that we can go for a movie.

Q2. What  is  meant  by  longer  action  in  present continuous tense?

He studies. (Simple Present)

He is studying. (Present Continuous)

He is studying to become a doctor. (Present Continuous showing longer action)

Q3. How  do  we  able  tole know  if  the  sentence  is  simple  present  tense   or  simple  present continuous tense?

The Simple Present Tense uses [VERB] + s/es in third person form

He studies.

The Present Continuous Tense uses [am/is/are] + present participle form.

He is studying.

Hope the explanation is useful.
