Concept of Area of Region
Area of a plane figure is the measure of its interior.
Two congruent figures are equal in area but the converse is not true.
Area of a region consisting of two non overlapping regions is the sum of the area of two regions.
Parallelograms on the same base or equal bases and between the same parallels are equal in area.Area of Parallelograms
The parallelograms, rectangles or squares on the same base and between the same parallels, are equal in area.
If triangle and parallelogram are on the same base and between the same parallels then area of the triangle is half of the area of parallelograms.Area of Triangles
Triangles on the same base and between the same parallel lines are equal in area.
Two triangles having the same base or equal bases and equal areas lies between the same parallel lines.
Median of a triangle divides it into two triangles of equal area.
