Linear Inequalities : One Variable

Equal numbers may be added to or subtracted from both the sides of an inequality without affecting the sign of inequality.
If a andlt; b and c andgt; 0 then ac andlt; bc. If a andlt; b and c andlt; 0 which means c is -ve then ac andgt; bc.
If both sides of an inequality are multiplied or divided by negative number, the sign of inequality is reversed.Linear Inequalities : 1 and 2 Variables
In case of slack inequality, the points on the line are also included in the solution set and its graph lies left (below) or right (above) of the graph of the equation that satisfy an arbitrary point in that part.
In case of strict inequality, the points on the line are not included in the set solution of inequality, hence the half plane represented by the inequality does not include the line.
