Who heads the Municipal Corporation? What is his tenure?

The Municipal Corporation is headed by the Mayor. He is elected by the members of the Corporation including the Aldermen, from among themselves. The normal term of a Mayor is one year but he or she can be re-elected after the expiry of that period.
