Expert Answer
Agriculture was the main occupation of people of the Egyptian civilisation. The fertile soil, abundant water supply from the Nile and an elaborate irrigation network allowed people to cultivate crops throughout the year. The major crops were wheat, barley and millet. Vegetables and fruits such as dates, apples, peaches and figs were also grown.
