what the difference between estate and state

A state is a geographical term which implied a territory consisting of definiete boundaries. State may also refer to a government.
An estate can be defined by the all the assets of a person at any point in time. An 'estate' can also be defined as an area of land in the country, usually with a large house, owned by one person, family, or organisation.
