The eastern coast of USA are comparatively cold .why?

Ocean currents and sea surface temperatures are primarily responsible for moisture content and rainfall amounts on each coast. Eastern Coast of the USA is comparitively cold due to the cold Labrador current which flow from the Arctic Ocean to the East coast of Nova Scotia.
