8th term is 0.
So, a8 = a + 7d = 0 i.e. a = -7d
38th term is a38 = a + 37d = -7d + 37d = 30d
18th term is a18 = a + 17d = -7d + 17d = 10d = 3 x a38
Hence, proved.
