Expert Answer:

Development of any country is based on the development of its people. Human development affects the growth of a nation as greater individual freedom, equality and individual capability improve the economy of a nation itself. The government of a country has to first focus its attention towards achieving the goal of human development. This can be done by providing education and basic healthcare facilities to the people. While educational facilities will enhance various skills of the people, provision of health facilities will ensure a long and healthy life. This in turn will result in improved economic growth as increased incomes will lead to increased production and increase in the range of choices. This will automatically lead to the development of an economy.

Main indicators of human development are education and health. India in order to become a developed nation will first have to embark on the task of providing education to all the citizens of the country which will enhance their skills. Provision of basic healthcare facilities to the people will further help in the development of the Indian economy. Education and health status along with greater employment of the people will automatically increase the per capita income of the nation which is used for measuring the development of a country.
