How is the concentration of hydroxide ions affected when excess base is dissolved in a solution of sodium hydroxide.?

When an excess base is dissolved in a solution of sodium hydroxide. Sodium hydroxide dissociates into OH- ions and when the number of OH- increases then concentration also increases because concentration is the number of OH- ions present per unit volume.
