Marasmus is a deficiency disease caused due to the deficiency of proteins and carbohydrates.
Symptoms of Marasmus:
(1) Less body weight
(2) Degeneration, resulting in very weak body as if formed of muscles, skin and bones only
(3) Skin becomes loosely folded
(4) Retarded physical and mental growth
