Latitudes are imaginary lines which are drawn across the globe for locating places. The latitude which passes exactly from the center of the Earth is 00 latitude called Equator. The northern most latitude in the Northern Hemisphere at the North Pole is measured at 900N while the southernmost latitude in the Southern Hemisphere is measured at 900S. Each degree of latitude is approximately 69 miles (111km) apart. However, the range may vary from Equator to the Poles.

Based on the above facts and calculations, latitudes are measured drawn on the globe.
