Some points are marked as C, D, E and F as shown in given figure in order to get proper circuit.
Figure-1 gives the proper circuit with the help of these markings. Twist of circuit connections in figure-1 is made straight
and Figure-2 is drawn after straightning the twist.
Now it is easy to get total resistance from figure-2 . Across the points C and F , three resistances 2R are connected in parallel.
Hence equivalent resistance of parallel combination of three 2R resistances = (2/3)R
Hence total resistance in the circuit as can be seen from figure-3 = R + (2/3)R + R = (8/3) R
